Jack Morrison, 69, of Columbus Junction, died Monday, August 25, 2008 at his home in Columbus Junction.

Funeral services for Jack will be Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction, Iowa. Pastor Al Coffin will officiate. Casket bearers will be Frank Jamison, Sheldon Williams, Tom Wasson, Dick Grimm, Kenny Meyerholz and Lynn Mincer. Burial will be in Columbus City Cemetery. Following the committal service there will be a time of food and fellowship at the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Jack’s name. Jack William Morrison was born January 17, 1939 in Fredonia, Iowa, the son of Ralph Frederick and Naomi Jane (Lee) Morrison. On December 10, 1960 Jack was united in marriage to Dorothy B. Dunsmore in Columbus City, Iowa. Jack was a veteran of the Army Reserves and served 6 months active duty with the Army Ordinance #872 of Washington, Iowa. He was owner/operator of the John Deere dealership, J and M Equipment, of Columbus Junction for 30 years and as an insurance agent for Farm Bureau for 18 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Mason Lodge No. 107 AF/AM and the Allen Wright Hanft American Legion Post #100. He enjoyed the Car Club, traveling across the United States and his passion for model trains with more than 16 train sets that he built. He loved car racing and especially enjoyed his Corvettes.

Jack will be dearly missed by his wife, Dorothy of Columbus Junction; his son, Jason W. Morrison and his wife Kimberly of Barrington, NH; 2 grandchildren, Ainsley and Makenna; and 2 brothers, Ralph “Bo” Morrison and his wife, Kathryn and James Morrison and his wife, Fran, all of Columbus Junction.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Patricia “Patsy” Marshall.
