Barbara Jane Wheeler, 77, of Hallsville, Missouri formerly of Queen City, Missouri and Wyman-Crawfordsville, Iowa area died Monday evening, January 29, 2007 in the Heritage Hall Nursing Center in Centralia, Missouri.

Funeral services were held on February 3, 2007 at the Queen City Christian Church in Queen City, Missouri. Interment took place at the Queen City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Dooley Funeral Home.

The daughter of Gwendolyn (Morse) and Clair Mullen, she was born December 10, 1929 in Cotter, Iowa. Jane graduated from Wyman Consolidated School in Wyman, Iowa in 1947. On September 23, 1951 in Washington, Iowa she was united in marriage to Paul Wheeler. In 1953 she moved to Queen City. She worked as a 4-H leader and with Little League for several years. She also worked as a Nurses Aide at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville for several years. From 1987-1997 she baby-sat children in her home. Jane was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church in Queen City. In 1997 she moved to Hallsville, Missouri where she was a member of the Hallsville Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Deb Newland of Queen City, Missouri; and Lynn Yoder and her husband, Sam of Clark, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Donna Wheeler of Columbia, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, twin sister, Beatrice in 1933, sons, Craig in 1954, Randall “Randy” in 1982, Michael in 2002, one daughter, Beatrice “Bea” Griswold in 1995 and one grandson, Aaron Yoder in 2001
