Betty Jo (Crossley) Truitt, 54, of Columbus Junction, died Tuesday, December 25, 2007, at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, TN. Funeral services were 11:00 am on Monday, December 31, 2007, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Ramona Wink, Commissioned Lay Pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church of Morning Sun officiated. Burial was in Columbus City Cemetery. Casketbearers were Dick Griffith, Rick Kirk, Jeremy Tompkins, Dustin Bliven, Dalton Adams and Jordan Terrill. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Betty’s name. Betty Jo Crossley was born December 24, 1953, in Washington, IA, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Choate) Crossley. Betty was a homemaker, and she enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Betty will be dearly missed by her children, Kelly Noble of Nashville, TN, and Tyren Truitt of Columbus City; her parents, Paul Crossley of Letts and Mary Jones of Fredonia; and her brothers and sisters, Bill Crossley and wife, Candis of Tucson, AZ, Becky Kirk and husband, Rick of Conesville, Brenda Crossley, Barbara Griffith and husband, Dick, Belinda Crossley and Brian Crossley and wife, Debbie, all of Letts.

Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Bob Crossley.
