-George Stout Jr.-

George Stout Jr., age 70, of Columbus Junction, Iowa died Friday, January 4, 2008, at the Washington County Hospital following a sudden illness.

Celebration of life services will be 10:30 am Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at the Jones Eden Funeral Home conducted by Rev. George was born February 23, 1937, on a farm near West Chester, Iowa, the son of George and Mildred (Gorsch) Stout.    He attended elementary schools in West Chester and Ainsworth, Iowa and graduated from Ainsworth High School.  On October 5, 1973, George was united in marriage to Judy Skubal in Columbus Junction, Iowa.  George was previously married to Sandra Ornduff.  He farmed in the Ainsworth and Columbus Junction communities most of his life and during the farm crisis started Stout Livestock Hauling.

He was a member of the Ainsworth Community Church, the KAABA Shrine and was past president of the Pedi Cab unit for one year.  George was a very hard worker, enjoyed his grandkids and supported their activities.   

He is survived by his wife, Judy Stout of Columbus Junction, Iowa; daughter, Shari Stout of St. Louis, Missouri; son, Mark Stout of Letts, Iowa; son, Todd Stout and wife, Shari of Mt. Clair, New Jersey; three stepdaughters, Jeanette Kregel and husband, Tim of Cedar Rapids, Iowa;  Julie Clark and husband, Jeff of New London, Minnesota; Linda Moothart and husband, Tim of Lisbon, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  George is also survived by two brothers, Edward Stout of Kansas City, Missouri; William Stout and wife, Dorothy of Ainsworth, Iowa; two sisters, Louise Frakes and husband, Harold of Brighton, Iowa, and Mildred McCreedy and husband, Stan of Ainsworth, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, David Stout, and one sister, Virginia Stout.
