Adalberta Quintero, 67, of Columbus Junction, Iowa died Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa.
Visitation for Adalberta will be today, Wednesday, April 4, 2007 from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction, Iowa. There will be a prayer service at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Father Paul Appel of St. Joseph the Worker, Columbus Junction, will officiate. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Adalberta’s name. Funeral services will be later in Zacatepec, Morelos, Mexico. Burial will be in Panteon Municipal Cementerio de Jojutla, Morelos, Mexico. Sympathy notes may be left to the Quintero family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Adalberta was born April 23, 1939 in Jojutla, Morelos, Mexico, the daughter of Sixto Quintero and Patrocinia Molina. On May 7, 1959

Adalberta was united in marriage to Elpidio Diaz in Jojutla, Morelos. Adalberta was a homemaker while living in Columbus Junction and had worked as a hospital nurse in Mexico for many years.

Adalberta will be dearly missed by her husband, Elpidio of Columbus Junction; her son, Jorge Diaz Quintero of Mexico; her daughters, Purificacion Diaz and her husband, Emilio Romero of Chicago, IL, Rosenda Diaz and her husband, Adolfo of Mexico and Ubalda Diaz and her husband, Adrian Ramos of Columbus Junction; her grandchildren, Emily, Fidencio, and Rafael Romero, Sergio and Alberto Garcia, Karen, Adrian, Antonio and Ari Liz Ramos; her brothers, Francisco Quintero, Mateo Quintero, and Jesus Quintero; and her sister, Magdalena Quintero.

Adalberta was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Romana Quintero and Dolores Quintero.
