Madge Dorothy Orr, 93, of Columbus Junction, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Colonial Manor Care Center of Columbus Junction.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services.  Burial was in Indian Creek Cemetery.  Casket bearers were Greg Angerer, Dustin Angerer, Jeff Askew, Duane Orr, David Orr and Donnie Orr.  Following the interment there was a time of food and fellowship at the Columbus Community Senior Center.  Visitation was held on Saturday, March 17th from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home.  A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Madge’s name. Madge Church was born May 4, 1918 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Joe and Nellie Mae (Alstot) Church.  On February 16, 1934 Madge was united in marriage to Henry Orr in Wapello, Iowa.  Madge was a homemaker and worked as a nurses’ aide at the Louisa County Nursing Home.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Washington.  She also babysat after retiring from the nursing home.  She was a member of the Indian Creek Club, and she enjoyed cooking and cross-stitching.

Madge will be dearly missed by her children, Don (Dorothy) Orr of Columbus Junction, Charlene (Jim) Angerer of Marion, Iowa and Sue Askew of Walcott, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Duane (Kathi) Orr, David (Tammy) Orr, Donnie (Traci) Orr, Deb Angerer, Annette Wieneke, Greg Angerer and Jeff Askew; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Madge was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Robert; her brother, Joe; and son-in-law, Dale Askew.
