-Virginia A. Grimm-

Virginia A. Grimm, 82, of Columbus Junction, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Colonial Manor Care Center of Columbus Junction.  Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction.  Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery.  Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship was held at the Masonic Hall in Columbus City.  Visitation for Virginia was held on Saturday, February 9, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Virginia.  Sympathy notes may be left to the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Virginia Ann Leferink was born on October 19, 1930, in Cresco, Iowa the daughter of Harry and Marie (Henkes) Leferink.  On October 23, 1954, Virginia was united in marriage to Paul Grimm.  Virginia worked for Rath Packing for 15 years and then enjoyed babysitting several children in the community.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Columbus Junction and the Rosary Society.  Virginia enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking and cooking, but most of all, she enjoyed raising her children and spoiling her grandchildren. 

Virginia will be dearly missed by her children, Steve Grimm and his wife, Deb of Everett, Washington, Charlotte Mohror and her husband, Steve of Columbus Junction, Doug Grimm of Washington, Scott Grimm and special friend, Sam Fittro of West Liberty, Mavis Murry and her husband, Robin of Corvallis, Oregon and Todd Grimm and his wife, Nancy of Ainsworth; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one sister, Janet Krejcarek and her husband, Ron of Zwolle, Louisiana.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; one grandson, Jeremy and one brother, Bob.
